Apple reportedly rejected multiple display samples before Samsung met its exacting standards. The final design uses liquid metal components in the hinge to distribute stress more evenly across the fold, resulting in a crease depth under zero point one five millimetres and a creasing angle below two point five degrees. Specs and Software

The iPhone Fold will feature a seven point eight inch inner display with a four by three aspect ratio and a five point five inch outer screen. Under the hood, it runs on Apple's A20 Pro chip built on a two nanometre process, paired with twelve gigabytes of RAM and storage options up to one terabyte. iOS 27 will introduce iPad-like layouts with side-by-side multitasking, a first for any iPhone.
